The inaugural International Customer Experience Awards have taken place in Amsterdam, with the UK’s Holly Private Hospital taking home the first ever Overall Winner title.

Hundreds attended the event in the Dutch capital, where shortlisted finalists competed in 17 categories by presenting before a panel of judges representing some of the most influential Customer Experience specialists in the world.

Competition was fierce, with the highest CX standards evident in the presentations that took place throughout the day at Amsterdam’s Movenpick Hotel. In the evening, the awards were presented to category winners, with Holly Private Hospital securing the Overall Winner title thanks to its success in two categories: Customer Centric Culture and Business Change or Transformation – Strategy.

The win caps an amazing year for the hospital, which clinched a Silver title at the recent 2018 UK Customer Experience Awards in London, while its parent company, Aspen Healthcare, took home the Overall Winner title.

Meanwhile, in May, Holly Private Hospital won an incredible three Gold category titles at the 2018 UK Employee Experience Awards.

In the International Customer Experience Awards, other significant wins included scaffolding suppliers Actavo, which won the Best Customer Experience Strategy title; T-Mobile Austria, which secured the trophy for Best Digital Strategy and Contact Centre; and UK-based CX innovation firm Startle, which won the Employee Empowerment + Employer of the Year and Customer Experience Team categories.

Among the judges was author, CX Masterclass leader, and global CX consultant Ian Golding, who said: “Congratulations must go to all of the finalists who gave fantastic presentations, and a special congrats to the category winners who deserve their victories thanks to their clear commitment to customer centricity”

Fellow judge Jaap Wilms, of Dutch NPS programme management specialists Wilms ‘n Zo, added: “I’m honoured to have been a judge and to be inspired by a great variety of accomplishments by businesses from all over the globe. What a celebration of CX peers. A big congratulations to all the winners!”

The event was hosted by Awards International UAE & Netherlands, and Managing Director Mark Hamill said: “What a fantastic start to these awards. It’s inspiring to see the standard of Customer Experience initiatives that our finalists and winners are offering, and a huge congratulations to all that took part, especially our deserving winners.”
